The Cleveland Baby Formula Exchange is Up and Running
We have started a baby formula exchange to help Cleveland families feed their babies during our nation's current formula shortage. We are accepting donations of extra unopened and unexpired containers of baby formula, which we are then distributing to local families who have been having difficulty finding the specific types of formula that their infants need. Right now about 40% of requests have been for hypoallergenic formulas like Nutramigen, Alimentum, and Puramino and we have over 200 families on a waiting list.
All baby formula is distributed free of charge and there is no fee to join. We have been rapidly growing and now have five formula donation drop off locations throughout the greater Cleveland area. With the help of our incredible volunteers we have been able to give away over 500 containers of formula in just over a week!

Our initiative has been featured on cleveland.com, Channel 5 News Cleveland, Channel 3 WKYC Cleveland, Fox 8 News Cleveland, and Channel 19 Cleveland News. Dr. Jessica Madden, the founder of the exchange, was also recently interviewed about the baby formula shortage for BBC News London.
